Question by nati: Which antivirus software is the best for Mac?
Mac cannot really be affected by any viruses but it can easily distribute it to other computers by sharing files with them. More over, “looking good” for Mac files might not be opened on other computers if they carry a virus. I decided to protect myself and my friends from these issues by installing an antivirus software on my Mac. Which one is the best: Symantec’s Norton AntiVirus 10.0 or Intego’s VirusBarrier?

I would greatly appreciate if somebody shares his experience of working with these programs.

As of right now i have Norton Antivirus 360, but it is just a trial. My free trial ends in 3 days and I wanted to go ahead and download another antivirus software. I use Free AVG…I think it’s better than the paid services, and it hardly uses any of the processor so it doesn’t slow your computer down.

AVG go to www.download.com, you can find it there. Good luck. Put up a firewall and turn you computer off when you are not using it.

There are two types of antivirus softwares: the free ones and the paid ones. If you are online most of the time, I suggest you use the new Norton 360 or Kaspersky Internet Security. AVG has been voted as a favorite free antivirus, although there is a paid version of it which offers more features and options.
