  1. http://www.avast.com – free download – works a treat.

  2. Norton 360 is pretty good, but it requires a decently good computer, or else it will make your pc really slow.

  3. Microsoft Security Essentials, Avira, Avast! those are the good ones :)

  4. AVG free or spybot

I have used Norton products since 2000 and they haven’t failed me yet. I am using Norton Internet Security 2010, at present, and according to Australian PC Authority magazine was best performer, against AVG, as a freee edition, but AVG 2011 has no free edition? So where to for freebies Avast, MSE(Microsoft Security Essentials)?

  6. McAfee Security Center.Download free edition.

  7. Avira is the best, and it is free

    1) It detects much more viruses than other antivirus out there.
    2) IT is very light on memory, so your computer will not slow down that much.

I know many people here are claiming that other Antiviruses are the best… you don’t have to trust me, try them all, you will see ;)

About the Virus Bulletin 100% award
The Virus Bulletin 100% awards recognise those products best able to detect viruses known to be ‘in the wild’. Unlike some other similar-sounding schemes,
Virus Bulletin uses the most up-to-date WildList in its tests. This means that products that are ‘up with the game’ are the ones most likely to be granted VB100
awards. More information about Virus Bulletin can be found on its website: http://www.virusbtn.com.

  9. I have used Kaspersky and very happy with it.
